The plan is to continue to create learning resources that will
assist students in developing problem solving skills and clinical reasoning by having
learning experiences that closely simulate tasks that the physician is expected to perform
to effectively prevent, detect and control cancer. One can scarcely think of an aspect
from history taking to physical examination to applying specific techniques of screening
or diagnosis, to planning and administering therapy to breaking bad news, that does not
warrant specific simulations and practice in relatively "risk free" settings
before having to deal with these multiple dimensional problems in "real life with
real people".
