COMMUNITY PRECEPTORSHIP ACHIEVEMENTS

Creation of Guidelines for an Effective Clinical Experience

Characteristics of effective teaching settings for clinical preventive services are summarized in this document. The document succinctly presents good teaching practices for clinical clerkships.

Creation of Eight sets of Learning Objectives

Objectives are provided for each of eight cancers. Each document defines that knowledge and abilities a physician should have to provide clinical preventive services for one type of cancer. Both the expected abilities of student physicians and the content for which they may be held accountable are presented in these eight documents.

Creation of Eight types of Competency Assessment Forms

An assessment form is provided for each of the eight types of cancer. The form is a checklist on which the student can record confirmation that he/she has accomplished the objectives.
