STEERING COMMITTEE BACKGROUND
The CATCHUM Project steering committee is comprised of eight representatives designated by the Dean of Medicine for each participating school.  Members report to their institutions on an annual basis about the progress of the CATCHUM Project, serving as the leaders and primary communication link to their respective schools. Duties of steering committee members include: chairing the cancer education committees, coordinating the curriculum review and change processes, identifying and assisting in the development of key faculty, providing administrative supervision for fiscal resources, and supporting and facilitating evaluation and reporting functions. Also, the Steering committee members guide the Principal Investigator in the planning, operation, policy formulation, resource allocation, and evaluation activities of the CATCHUM Project. Each steering committee member serves as a liaison member of one of the workgroups or taskforces according to their expertise and/or interest and designates faculty members to serve on all taskforces.
