INTRODUCTION TO EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

COMPETENCIES (Pdf File)
The CATCHUM Steering Committee reviewed and modified the Physician Oncology Education Program guidelines developed by Baylor College of Medicine and researched current oncology curriculum guidelines to help medical students learn about cancer prevention and detection. These guidelines were developed and modified based on the current POEP and the Australian Cancer Society's Ideal Oncology Curriculum for Medical Schools and recast in the form of core competencies with related objectives.
CATCHUM EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES MATRIX
To make the most effective use of, and derive the maximum benefit from, its Educational Resources, the CATCHUM Project through its Content Development Committee recommends that the Resources be used in the following order:
  1. The On-Line Learning Modules
  2. The OSCEs (Objective Structural Clinical Exams)
  3. The PBLs (Problem Based Learning) Cases Studies.
